Funds raised will benefit the thousands of Manitobans affected
by the flood, which peaked in Winnipeg on April 16, reaching a
level that made it the second-worst in the past 100 years. This
year's concert will raise the money through the sale of tickets,
which are $20 each through Ticketmaster, as well as donations.
CBC will broadcast the concert on The (204) with host Wab Kinew
on CBC Radio One (89.3 FM, 990 AM) at 5 p.m. on May 16, and on
Canada Live with Kinew on CBC Radio 2 (98.3 FM) at 8 p.m. on May
21. Dates for CBC Television broadcasts will be announced at a
later date. |
